Better than BerthA - fun illustrations

Lovely project designing one of the Owls of Bath! 

 

'Gemini Twinned Too Yoo' celebrates Bath's twinned cities which include; 

Aix-en-Provence in France, Alkmaar in Holland, Braunschweig in Germany, Kaposvar in Hungary, Beppu in Japan 

 

It was fun planning which scenes to take from each city and designing a piece which sits well together. The illustrations are black and white line illustrations drawn directly on to the owl with hints of colour best reflecting the major landmarks and much-loved buildings.

I was selected to design one of the owls as part of the Owls of Bath sculpture trail. This particular owl is sponsored by the Charter Trustees of the City of Bath and Bath's twinning associations and it was situated in orange grove next to bath abbey.
